not sure where to begin on this one. I think it's an automatic failure unless there is reasonable expectation that Selleck will make appearances. You can't borrow the name and ignore the 500 lb elephant in the room. The fine line though is developing the lead character and not having this production...

loved Vegas.......and she was quite a looker. That series cast seems to be cursed...they had more than their fair share of cancer (Urich, Davis, Morris)

well I look back on this topic and it's been 5 years since i posted in it. A lot has changed since then. Some finales that have resonated since: Breaking Bad.........not sure it shouldn't be the best. Unreal how good that show was and the finale (though somewhat predictable) was worth it. Mad Men......

sadly Netflix doesn't have some of the crucial episodes in the final season, including the finale.

not just Quantum Leap..a couple other shows I've searched have missing episodes...........I think I read somewhere it might have to do with music licenses within the episode.

for those who remember Hardcastle and McCormick........I can see that angle.......older mentor with the younger actor doing the heavy lifting........but Selleck is not hurting for work and my guess is that wouldn't suit his interests.

quite frankly, the 5-o is just borrowing the name(s). You;re not getting a Jack Lord performance, it's gone an entirely different direction and has lasted on the merits of what shows week to week. pretty good episode. Nice to see Thomas get to show his stuff that makes him the security expert. I'd say a comfortable episode to watch with no major swings to the positive or negative.

Man, I don't think I've ever seen a show get so much press, and overwhelming praise, for its final season (and finale) than this one. And to go out with an Emmy for Best Dramatic Series, wow. Even though I know how it ends, I really need to watch this show in its entirety. Season Two here I come! B...
