Re: The Robin Masters Estate (Pahonu)
As long as the gatehouse and boathouse still stand, and the fact that the original foundation of the main house is still there, I will continue to hold out some hope that the main house will be recreated and the other buildings restored, instead of the land divided up into lots and redeveloped.

Re: Should I move to Oahu?
Go for it, brother! I'd be all over that if I was in your situation and could live wherever I wanted. Keep us updated and post pics of your new place if you end up going all in!

Re: Magnum transports me... does this make any sense?
Although I love living in Hawaii today, that time & place still exists deep inside me and I find myself gravitating toward older places that haven't been remodeled, that still look like they did back in the 80s - other people might see those types of places as looking dated or run-down, I look at i...

Re: Magnum hawaiian shirts
I always thought about having a Hawaiian shirt made in the spirit of TM's "jungle bird" shirt, but using artwork of robins in and around their nests instead. Something like John J. Audubon's original American Robin painting as the repeating motif: http://auduboncollector.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/...

Re: Magnum's dark side
Hi MagnumFan, Did You See the Sunrise? would definitely fall into this category! Yep. Being where he was supposed to have been, and doing what he was supposed to have done....changes you. I always thought TS portrayed this very well, and these "darker" moments gave him the opportunity to display hi...

Re: The Robin Masters Estate (Pahonu)
The relatively low price (8mill$) price the estate sold for is certainly strange. The fact its three+ acres of prime waterfront property is worth nearly ten million alone. The television historical value easily adds another 2 million IMO. Again to us its like demolishing graceland. Anderson must've...

Re: Magnum on Blu Ray?
Makes sense they would come out with a higher quality version than what was previously available. When the show was still on Netflix a few years back, it was streamed in 1080, along with a lot of other great shows from the 60s-80s. It was awesome to watch all of those old shows in that quality. It j...

Re: The Robin Masters Estate (Pahonu)
All of this evidence being posted is so interesting. You guys would make pretty good P.I.s yourselves!
It may all be circumstantial evidence so far, but remember what T.M. always said about that "little voice." It's telling us something.

Re: "Official" Magnum Mug on Amazon
I do agree, I just think it's quite unusual for a MPI item to be "officially licensed". I did buy one of these however. Looks great in my office :magnum: Awesome! I'm definitely buying one of these for my office as well, and any others that are available from my other favorite shows while I'm at it...

Re: How do you get your Magnum fix?
I come here and watch a few episodes a week like others have said. Beyond that, there are several Magnum references in my everyday life. My ringtone is the theme song, so I hear it every time someone calls me and every morning for my alarm. I own a 13 acre estate, situated between 3 different lakes,...

Re: The Robin Masters Estate (Pahonu)
Found this video showcasing the estate, presumably made by a realtor when it was for sale a few years ago.

At least we'll always have the pics/videos/tv episodes of our Robin's Nest
RIP, Pahonu

Re: The Robin Masters Estate (Pahonu)
Since the original slabs and foundations will remain, is there any hope that maybe he will rebuild it just like it was in its glory days? Maybe it was determined that the original structure was just too far gone to restore it properly and decided to take it down and rebuild? Maybe he wanted the inte...

Nooooooooo! Just as everyone else said, sickened by this news. Well I guess I'm never going to Hawaii. The estate was the only reason I ever wanted to go.
