Re: A Full Inventory of Thomas Magnum's Shirts
Shirt #15 (No Need to Know (1.5)) V-neck twisted cable knit sweater in beige. https://i.ibb.co/4tszWYZ/Screen-Shot-2020-05-06-at-1-46-51-PM.png Of course, Magnum wears it without a shirt underneath. This could very well be a light shade of yellow. It's hard to tell if the tinting is just my screen....

Is Joe Hatten based on Wayne Huizenga? I feel like "millionaire trash-company entrepreneur" is very specific, but I don't know if there were others around at the time...

Altbier suggestions for Old Dusseldorf fans?
They never say, I don't think, but it is implied by the name that Old Dusseldorf was an altbier; anyone have any suggestions for altbiers to try?

Did Rick ever say what he thought of Luther Gillis?
They seem like they'd be a good match, as Rick had a thing for film noir when it wasn't cool, and Luther Gillis was the guy who made it a career.
On the other hand, maybe it's fantasy vs. reality here... Were there any episodes where they spend any time together?

Does TC ever mention the events from the pilot?
He wears the team ring, so I imagine that having Philippe kill Dan Cook and then Magnum kill Philippe must have been a lot to process for TC. Or are the events of the pilot not treated like something that happened? I want to say that occasionally someone will refer to Rick's old job before working a...

Good thing Magnum skipped the laugh track, but why did it?
Magnum P.I. has a lot of humor in it, and I think the reason it aged so well is that it is funny but doesn't try to force it with a laugh track. A lot of other shows of its age were all about laugh tracks; any idea why they decided to skip it? Was it because it mixed comedy and drama within the same...

Higgins based on Capt. Peacock from "Are You Being Served?"
I found out recently that in 1979 there was a pilot made for an American version of the British show "Are You Being Served?" called Beane's of Boston; while it wasn't picked up, John Hillerman played the American version of Captain Peacock. Did Mr. Hillerman ever mention whether this experience or F...

Collecting together the background music?
-UDeItGakBA Magnum has a lot of really nice background music; is there any official way to get it, or has anyone unofficially tried to collect together the themes from different episodes? I came across this one from "Billy Joe Bob" where someone tried to do that, and thought it seemed like a nice e...

What would a sequel look like if Magnum ended w/ Season 7?
Just a little thought exercise. :) I'm thinking the technicality doesn't hold in court and Rick gets sent back to prison. Due to events there he stays a bit longer than expected. The show then becomes about him trying to figure out what happened in a Hawaii very different than the one he remembered,...

Re: Did Higgins make stuff up just to see if anyone noticed?
It looks like Magnum himself suspected this as well -- it was a major subplot in Season 7's "Paper War".

Anyone else wonder if Milton was a commentary on the obsessive Magnum P.I. fans (*cough*) that the cast and crew likely met whenever they went to events?
