Re: Solo Flight (7.16)
Given there was already a 4th July Magnum-goes-all-solitary episode in season 7 with Death and Taxes , was this one really a 4th July episode? I got the impression that Magnum was just super pissed off about a few things and they got the better of him until he went to clear his head. There's no ment...

Forgive me if this has already been discussed – I did have a quick look and couldn't see it – but why is Michelle still being chased by the Vietnamese? Especially since her husband is now dead...

Did anyone else notice Carol Baldwin has a big rock on her ring finger..? I mean it could be one of those deterrent ring-type things, but still...

Re: L.A. (2) (7.2)
From the Episode Guide... "The Region 1 DVD version of this episode inexplicably omits a one-minute foot chase scene. The scene occurs just after Magnum is shot at by two uzi-toting henchmen. After his rental car is blown up, Magnum runs through several backyards to escape. In one of the backyards, ...

Can someone please explain to me the Toronto Blue Jays link to RJ and this episode? Tate Donovan himself is from New Jersey, was screenwriter Bruce Cervi originally from Toronto?

Re: Going Home (6.7)
This is my new favourite episode, knocking Home From the Sea into second place. When little Billy turns and shouts, "Goodbye Grandpa" honestly, I was blubbing like a baby. (Probably 'cause I also had a very close relationship with my grandfather.) But, still, it's a truly beautiful episode.

Re: Tran Quoc Jones (5.9)
Does anyone think that this is more or less the back story of Short Round from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom ..? The kid looks identical, is about the same age and of American/Asian decent and he's grown up on the streets pulling scams to survive. Add to which the air date of this episode is ...

Rockford Files reference
Which episode is it where Rick and TC (and Magnum?) are discussing the plot of an episode of The Rockford Files...in a post-modern, Tarantino-esque pop-culture homage..?

Questions for Don Bellisario
I'm a journalist by profession and have been working on a...magnum opus on Magnum, PI as a personal project for some time; re-watching every episode, making notes and observations etc. And I tell you, this site has been a God-send! I've discovered many of the notes and observations I've made are alr...

History of Higgins
I recall somebody – in a different thread – talking about putting all of Magnum's bits of advice together on when he finally gets around to writing his book on How To Be A World Class Detective, which is a brilliant idea! But...I wonder, has anyone put together all the little tid-bits of Higgins' hi...

Re: Magnum's rugby shirts
I've looked on eBay and can't find anything. I might not have explained myself very well... http://www.scottsnowden.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/2-rugby-shirt.jpg The white, neckline bit where the buttons go, is one continuous piece of material, in a U-shape. And there's no stitching at the bottom...

Magnum's rugby shirts
Has anyone seen anywhere online where one might be able to buy some old-school, retro-style, 80s rugby shirts like Magnum's..? Specifically, the ones with the one-piece neck-line thing. Most rugby shirts these days have flat, over-and-above neck-line things that are sewn together at the bottom (usua...

Re: Dead Man's Channel (2.2) - HUGE mistake
As a keen diver, I couldn't believe I saw this! When Magnum and Rick first reach the site of the wreck and Thomas gets wet, Rick throws him a two-finger sign, which I assume is meant to mean "20 minutes" and then Magnum gives him a "thumbs up"! Someone with as much diving experience as Magnum given ...
