"They haven't called, they haven't written. I keep hearing they're developing one but I don't know whether I'm going to be in it... but they keep doing (fan) polls, and I keep winning them."
I wonder....could TS make it happen if he wants it bad enough? I mean...surely he was instumental in making the Jesse Stone movies happen. And I've heard that it was his friendship with Louie L'Amour that made the movies based on his books happen. Why hasn't he...or can't he...make a Magnum movie happen? Is it because these other movies are TV movies and the Magnum movie is a "movie" movie?
Isn't the ocean beautiful at sunset? So soft....so peaceful...so romantic!
I agree with Agatha. TS has his own production company, TWS Productions. He was instrumental in producing the Jesse Stone movies. So why can't he take the reins himself and get this done?
We're all behind ya' TS!

I hope TS saying he wants the role, along with fan support, will be enough for him to be given the part. We can only keep our fingers crossed and wait!

I think you're right. That's a lot of money for TS's company to put up, and it's risky. I think a Magnum movie written by Don Bellisario and Selleck and directed by Selleck would be awsome. Has Bellisario ever done a feature?
it's ALWAYS been about the studio having control over the rights..........and their collective opinion on whether or not Tom Selleck could be a big screen success with Magnum. As the years have gone by........that opinion has no doubt lessened as his age becomes a factor. Studio execs will have a hard time investing 8-9 figures in a 60-something actor playing a role made famous on tv almost 30 years ago........................and with the state of the economy...............don't get your hopes up.
Best case scenario is a small screen kind of deal.
