Sorry for the bad quality. Had to capture this off of the TV until it pops up on line

Thank you so much, terryfromkerry for posting those two video's! On a snowy Sunday afternoon here, what better way to pass time, than watching two great interviews with TS?!
In the first, he mentioned Blue Bloods and his thoughts re Frank becoming involved with a woman, so found that interesting, seeing I had just made reference to this. Still think at some point the subject will be addressed in the series.
Thank you again, terryfromkerry!
On another subject, what is your take on the watch TS was wearing in the first video? Someone noted in the video's comments, that is was an updated Magnum one. True?

Hi Lily,
Happy you enjoyed the videos. Yes it did strike me that he was wearing the Magnum PI watch. I was assuming it was perhaps the original.

I'm sorry, but I laughed out loud when I saw the painting!

Last night's episode (8.08 Pick Your Poison) was the worst episode ever. It was so bad, I started to think it was a parody.

I thought the best part of the entire episode was when Frank said: "I've never been hired for my voice." LOL!!!
Inside joke..or just part of the dialogue?
Maybe just my take, but gauging the look on TS's face while delivering the line...he was having a hard time holding back the grin!

Sometimes the writers try too hard to incorporate today's controversial events into an episode. Last night they tried for the tri-fecta; Frat boys date rapes/hazing and rich boy attitudes, legalizing marijuana and of course, neo-nazi organizations........Try picking one and write the hell out of it.........

This one was so in your face, it reminded me of the Star Trek episodes "Let That be your Last Battlefield" and "The Mark of Gideon." It was like they put all the buzzwords of the last 2 years on the table and said "Let's see if we can cram them all into one episode!" The show has always been issue driven, but it used to be more subtle. They need to pick one issue per episode and let the other stories be non-political.

I feel like this show is losing momentum. From killing off Linda to the marginalizing of the family dinner, things feel off.

Yep, you may be right and it's sad as there are so many great actors on the show (perhaps too many). I really like the Anthony character and the dynamic between Danny and him, the partner relationship with Eddie and Jamie, Garret, Sid and Frank going at it plus watching Bridget Moynahan with any plot she is involved with. Sometimes I feel the writers are trying to tackle too much at once..........

Perhaps going for a little bit of a Law and Order vibe? Could be.
The Eddie/Janie dynamic has grown on me and I like how Anthony pushes back against Erin. That said, I'm not her biggest fan. I guess Bridget is a good actress because she annoys the heck out of me!
I don't love the Dammy/Baez relationship, it's OK, but I think Jennifer Esposito's character, his first partner fit better.
It must be tough, Reagan can't ALWAYS be fighting the myor. Even if he would be in real life there's only so many times one can say "I serve at your pleasure" and have it still have meaning.
I feel like they need to refocus, I just don't know how.

That's exactly what I think. The show has too many characters and tries to do too many stories per episode. They end up short changing all the characters and plots. In Friday's ep, we didn't even find out what happened to the guy that stole the police cruiser!
I feel like they need to refocus, I just don't know how.
Agree with this, too and I don't know they could fix it either. They got rid of a character, but I don't think that fixed anything. Maybe they could try having stories that aren't wrapped up in one episode. They used to do that, but seems like they don't do that now.

Hi Steve!
In this interview Tom talks about Blue Bloods filming their 163rd episode, tying MPI. This is discussed at about the 5:50 mark if you want to skip ahead. The first 5ish minutes is about how he met Jillie and about the new season of Blue Bloods.

Thanks RG, nice that he acknowledged the episodes significance..............I remember the A&E Biography about TS, Jillie told the story of how she met Tom when he was staring at her during the bows at the end. Funny, I have stared at a lot of chorus girls at plays over the years (only thing that gets me thru some of the worse musicals I have seen...like Wicked) and it never worked for me, Oh yeah, I don't look like Tom.
