The Munsters' Zombo and Twister Sister

#1 Post by MHTR »

Anybody remember the episode of The Munsters with Zombo, a TV personality that had a kiddie show, where Eddie won a contest to be on the show? It was on Cozi tonight; Zombo bears a striking resemblance to Dee Snyder, the lead singer from Twisted Sister, don't you think?

I can see it. Zombo was played by Louis Nye.

Hi Guys,
When I was a kid I wished that Zombo would have been an actual TV show
I'd bet money that Dee Snyder and Svengoolie on MeTV were inspired by Zombo. DECADES network runs Bilko and Car 54 Where Are You back to back. They should add The Munsters, same sort
of humor runs through all 3 of them, Al Lewis and Fred Gwynne appearing in Car 54 and The Munsters. I hadn't realized till lately that Car 54 is one of the greatest sitcoms of all time, brilliant
writing and fantastic cast, plus a stable of guest star pros like Larry Storch. Plus one of the best theme songs of all time, no one on the planet can resist singing along. It's impossible.
