Higgins is excellent, and reminds me of the time in Calcutta...

It's time like these that I really wish I owned an Erin Gray doll.

(For the Magnum GI project, of course.)

Thanks for reminding me, Miss Q! I thought of that the other day when I was watching an episode but then forgot about it while making Higgins' safari gear. I need to make something that says "Rick" for GI Rick to wear, and really, other than Magnum and Higgins, the others' clothes weren't that distinctive (except for TC's IH logo and his suspenders). So the white collar and cuffs will be a good clue for Rick. White dinner jacket and bow tie could work too, I think. Didn't he frequently have a scarf/ascot tied around his neck too?

Golf,

Nice work. Your adaptation of Higgins is more life-like than the dummy actually used in the episode J. Digger Doyle.
The answer is obvious, old man. Logic is irrelevant. It's simply Tropical Madness. (J.Q. Higgins)

I wouldn't be at all suprised if Mr. Hillerman shows up. He's said that his years on MPI wer the happiest of his life. I seriously doubt he'd pass on the chance to work with the guys again, if only for a small cameo. Anyway, Fingers crossed. And you're absoultely right. The more you watch MPI, the more you like Higgins.

I don't know about Higgins showing up.... From what I understand he's a bit of a recluse now....

We can always hope

I'm not sure if being retired on a ranch in Texas would necessarily be considered a recluse..

Although it would be odd to see him Howard Hughesing it up.

N1095A, where did you get the info of Hillerman saying they were the happiest years of his life?

Just curious.

If only I knew how to do the quote thing that you all do.

I read it online, must have been 2-3 years ago. He did an interview, and it was posted. I'm not sure the date of the interview.

Doc Ibold,

From Larry Manetti's site about his book:

Aloha Magnum -
My Magnum P.I. Memories
Praise for Aloha Magnum and Larry Manetti

"Larry's book has refreshed my memory of the happiest eight years of my life."

Thanks Golf, That's almost the exact same quote I remember reading, although it was not from the book where I read it. It was an interview. As I recall the site had interviews from the cast, and a couple of the recurring cast like Lance Legault, and Jeff MacKay. I remember Mackay or Legault saying that people thought he had all kinds of money from MPI, but in reality he was only on 12 episodes, or something to that effect. The site I got this from was listed in my favorites on a computer that died a while back, and I have never been able to find it again. I really wish I could.

I don't mean to be the Cassandra here, but that doesn't sound like a very good plot. Hopefully the writing is better than the promo.

By the way, I just sent Larry Manetti an email telling him how so many MPI fans are looking forward to his and Roger Moseley's appearance on "Las Vegas." I also told him to check out the Forum pages here. Now wouldn't THAT be a hoot? If we could get Larry Manetti chatting with us here???!!!! I also told him to tell TS and RM hello from all their fans here.

I'll let you know if I ever hear back from him. Hopefully he will update HIS site with info and maybe backstage, candid pictures of him and Roger and TS on the LV set.

I apologize in advance if I assumed too much by sending him greetings from all the fans here. If I spoke out of line, I'm sorry. I just think he, TS, and RM should know of us and how much we appreciate their work on MPI -- and anything else they continue to do.

I truly hope I haven't offended anyone by my email to him.
