TS Alert (Pre-MPI) 1979

#1 Post by Miss Q »

Hi Gang,

I just noticed on tv this Friday, 1/4, there will be a very hard to find TS movie shown on the sleuth channel.

I searched long and hard to get my copy for my TS collection. It was one of the 6 failed pilots he did before MPI was sold.

Its called the Chinese Typewritter and its on a few times that day, at 8:30am and again at 4pm.

Of course his life long career buddy James Whitmore Jr is in it with him.
So far they have been in MPI, LasVegas(director), Rockford Files, Gypsy Warriors (another failed pilot) together.

Tune in and Enjoy!

Thanks Miss Q for the heads-up. Kinda makes me wish we got the Sleuth channel here. :(

Also, for those of us who are still building our collection of the Selleck ouevre, The Gypsy Warrior is also airing on Sleuth, on 1/13. (Warning: IMDB users recommend this movie strictly for Selleck fans.)

SL,

Do you still have a VCR to play tapes? I can TiVo both of them and put them on tape for you, if you'd like. I'd offer to burn it to DVD, which I can do, but the quality suffers significantly since my program that allows transfer of video from my DVR to my computer is not the good expensive hardware/software and the digital resolution gets converted back to analog at 320 reso. NOT ideally viewable. So a VCR tape is much better. (I can burn to DVD directly from the DVR, but the DVD recorder that burns the DVD burns it such that it plays ONLY on that DVD player! [Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong here, by the way?] I ask you, what good is THAT? Well, I suppose, if the space on the DVR gets used up, you can pull things off to DVD to watch later. But pesonally I'd rather be able to watch 'em on another DVD player too!)

Anyway, SL, let me know if you'd like tape(s). You can PM your address, if so.
