Magnum's bedroom set available

#1 Post by ConchRepublican »

Hi all.

I was contacted by a woman whose aunt, who recently passed away, owned the same bedroom set as Magnum had in the series.

I have Magnum’s bedroom set (not the one on set, same model)

My Aunt recently passed away. She purchased the bedroom set in the late 70’s or early 80’s for her home in Paradise Valley, Az.
She has the dresser, armoire and 2 nightstands with the sliding tables in Mesa, Az.
These pieces are solid wood and I would like to see them go to someone who will enjoy and appreciate them.

If you know anyone who may want them, please call me and I’ll text or email photos.
Thank you,
Heidi

If anyone is interested PM me and I'll provide her contact info.

Interesting. Can she share some photos?

It appears to be similar...I found this photo..
The doors appear to be longer and two rows of drawers vs three on the set in question..
Does anyone have any other photos from the series?

Her reply:

"For a magnum fan, I'd take $750 for the set and split the cost of movers putting into a storage unit. If I net $500, that covers most of the funeral"

I can forward her cell # for anyone interested.

You can PM it to me when you get time.....or you have my farsebook info as well.

Thanks! :magnum:

It "IS" slightly different as pointed out by Sam, the doors on the armoire are shorter, the difference being that which accommodates the third drawer. Close enough for govt. work....(or me! )

A little on the silly obsessive side.....but that's familiar territory for me! :magnum:

Whelp, that seems to have fallen through . . . too bad. It would have been cool if a Maniac ended up with it.

Yep....lady at first said she wanted it to go to somebody that would truly appreciate it and keep it together as a set, even if she had to give it away......THEN it came out that it was going to be auctioned off the following day, (Saturday 9/23), and she hoped to get $5,000 or more for it....so she basically asked what I'd offer, and when I said I'd offer what was quoted here, ($750), she said sorry, we're not going to be able to make a deal.

Woulda been nice....but no great loss....it probably would've cost me at least another $750 to have it shipped to me anyway!

That's the skinny on the BR set. Shame...cause the entertainment center I have in my bedroom now is burlwood!

I appreciate your passing it along anyway Conch!

It’s probably for the best that no Magnum Maniacs won that furniture, given this forum’s bizarre, fetishistic fixation on Magnum’s jewelry, laundry, and whatever else we attempt to latch onto in our sad, grasping-for-our-dead-youth Magnum-related activities. Anyone here who won this stuff would have most likely made enemies for life of those here who didn’t win.
