Re: Adelaide (1.14)
Also, what is so funny about ensuring security for a valuable horse? These are the same guys who made a very big deal out of ensuring security for a carved figurine that was worth a fraction of what the horse was said to be worth. What's the joke? No kidding. That felt too forced, like the writers ...

Re: The Robin Masters Estate (Pahonu)
This is for Eagle, Gorilla Mask, and anyone else interested in how the boathouse on the Pahonu estate is arranged and constructed, and sadly for some, how the guesthouse set can’t possibly fit within the actual structure. As I’ve stated many times before on this forum, the dimensions of the model a...

Re: 40th Anniversary Watch Party
My wife loves Breaking Bad and I watched the first few with her but couldn’t really get into it. I said this in another post somewhere, but I think the reality is that today we have available to us so much more content, from so many more creators, that we are bound to see all kinds of topics and vi...

Re: Being a WW2 vet, would Higgins really drive an Audi?
Interest certainly has a bearing on whether you retain the information you learn. I think we all remember those subjects from high school that we struggled to stay awake in - and the info just doesn't stick. That said, I think it says a lot about knowledge of Canada and the commonwealth - historica...

Re: Obscure Movie Recommendations
Not sure if this is obscure, but since we're on a forum about a show from the 1980s I will throw Better Off Dead into the mix. It's a teen movie with John Cusack and I've always loved it. With Tarantino, one man's trash is another man's treasure. I think he's usually good, especially in the 90s. In...

Re: Season 3 Episode 9: The Big Payback (3.9)
Gordie really crosses the line in this one by turning a blind eye to Magnum & Co's involvement in the jail break. You can tell Magnum is really appreciative for this act of friendship.......I'll put money on it that Magnum comes to Gordie's rescue down the road by either rescuing him or better yet ...

Re: Killer on the Midnight Watch (3.7)
Hi Amian, Regarding no one social distancing. I believe they are looking at the long game. While we are enduring this horror it is all encompassing but time goes by so fast that before you know it it will be gone. It would definitely distract from the Magnum reboot's reruns plot/story/drama etc in ...

Re: Someone to Watch Over Me (3.8)
I'm back!!! Couldn't get on the forum for a while (I think it is because I actually enjoy the reboot) ...I enjoyed this episode, and want to say that Stephen Hill has truly come into his own as T.C...He was the last actor cast and in my opinion, become one of the best of the reboot crew........

Re: Killer on the Midnight Watch (3.7)
Always enjoy Jin's character. He's pretty funny, and his scenes with the woman from the laundromat (sorry, can't remember her name) were surprisingly good. Can anyone tell how exactly the show is representing the pandemic? Jin's business is laundering money (as in actually cleaning it), but no one i...

Re: Season 3 Episode 6: Tell No One (3.6)
I liked too liked the scene where Frank gets hit by truck. It was actually well done...........usually you see a split second where the person gets hit and that's it, but here you see him rolling off the front of the truck too which finishes the shot with some added punch. It's all in the detail. A...

Re: The Robin Masters Estate (Pahonu)
Unfortunately, erosion from sea level rise and increasing numbers of extreme weather events seems to be accelerating at a rate faster than the climatologist’s predictions. I don’t think a lot of people realize that not only is sea level rising, they can see that, but that it is happening increasing...

Re: Season 3 Episode 6: Tell No One (3.6)
Not a super episode. Pretty straightforward with the mystery, pacing was blah (didn't care for the Kumu and Malea scenes). The actor who played the husband was veering into Scooby Doo territory at the end with his, "Well, if you only had a shred of evidence" bit. Also, the man said he had to hire Ma...

Re: Season 3 Episode 1: Double Jeopardy (3.1)
This season the writers are trying to make Gordon more part of the gang or a buddy, than just a detective, I doubt he would be dropping off a Chubby burger for Rick just because in either season 1 or 2. Yes, they're really making Katsumoto a major part of the show, far more than in the original. I ...

Re: Season 3 Episode 5: The Day Danger Walked In (3.5)
Hi guys, Don't forget Roger was well able to belt out a tune as the original TC. Remember "Operation:Silent Night". Agreed not kareoke but maybe "Under The Boardwalk" :D Would have actually been a nice nod to that episode if they'd had Bookie sing that! Actually, I don't mind if they let him do som...
