Re: Mad Buck Gibson (2.9)

May have been mentioned but I don't want to read all the threads. How can Magnum stand in the bathroom while Buck just shoots the 45 and not hold his hears or something. Also, Buck seems to manage to reload constantly. Well, Magnum's fired off dozens if not hundreds of rounds over the course of the...

Me, too. At least Watson had a plausible revolver, if nothing else.

Macnee has played both Holmes and Watson.

Hillerman has also played Watson in “Hands of a Murderer.”
To Edward "The Equalizer" Woodward's Holmes, no less.

Re: Re:

The pistols Sabre, Winston, and Boris use to cooly dispatch their strangely enthusiastic assailants at the airstrip are suppressed Walther PPs ( not PPKs). I disagree, at least with regard to the one Hillerman was using: http://i.imgur.com/rLTwMox.png The barrel looks too short to be a PP. The othe...

Re: The Return of Luther Gillis (4.16)

In this episode Thomas does something that´s kind of weird and that I can´t explain. If someone could provide an explanation that would be very much appreciated. Here´s what he does: In the first scene with Thomas, when he´s lying in the hammock, he takes a beer from the cooler and opens it with an...

Re: Re:

Actually, I think the burlap was so that the flash from the muzzle would be suppressed. That way, if anyone happened to be looking in his direction at the time he fired the weapon they wouldn't be able to pinpoint the location. Perhaps, but Magnum would have to plan on firing exactly one shot, beca...

Re: Holmes Is Where the Heart Is (4.18)

Would TM really have damaged a wine cabinet belonging to his wealthy benefactor just to get one over on Higgins? I like to think that TM would never have sunk so low - it is completely out of character. Hey, Higgins re-enacted the Battle of Waterloo on the lawn complete with apparently firing a can...

Re:

In any case, if he took the shot that burlap on his muzzle would have done nothing but cause him to miss. The cloth wrapped around the muzzle would have had a negligible effect on accuracy, as well as a negligible effect on the report. I don't know what the deal with that was. Earlier, when Magnum ...

Ah, the old XJs were such beautiful cars. Too bad they were such pieces of junk under that lovely sheet metal. Rust-prone, unreliable, and I never met a Lucas wiring harness that successfully carried an amp of current.

But beautiful.

Re: Magnum P.I. Quizzes @ FunTrivia.com

Took the "Survellance" quiz, scored 9/10, missed Higgins's regiment (full disclosure: I guessed the chopper ID number, but I did know the Ferrari's license plate number from the pilot).

Re: Jesse Stone: Benefit of the Doubt

The watch was worn by Hastie. Too quick for me to work out whether it was a Rolex or not, but the Pepsi Bezel would have to be a nod to Magunm, too big a coincidence not to be. I have to differ; I paused the video to ID the watch and it was clearly on Selleck's wrist, though, if I recall correctly,...

There are several conservatives in Hollywood besides Selleck who do allright. John Voight and Patricia Heaton come to mind and neither have the 'stache! And neither are they awesome and terrible masters of space, time, and reality, unlike Selleck and the 'stache. Also, while Heston could part...

Well, his Wikipedia article quotes that interview, but it also says "He endorsed Senator John McCain in the 2008 presidential election." That's fairly Republicanish to me. Let's face it, McCain is no libertarian. I should know, because I am one myself. Don't get me wrong, Selleck can be whatever he ...

hmmmm. afraid this may have to be explained to me.... I think it may have to do with the well-known mystical, borderline-divine powers of Selleck's 'stache. And, of course, the reality-warping powers over space and time it gives him. How else does a man in his mid-sixties have hair browner than a r...
