Re: Season 3 Episode 3: No Way Out (3.3)
Pretty enjoyable episode, and I'm liking T.C. geting a bit more screentime. When the elevator stopped, I thought we might get some comedy hijinks as a nod to the episdoe with Carol Burnett. Went the action route instead, but I wouldn't mind seeing the reboot try something like a locked room (or elev...

Re: Peter Lenkov fired
Interesting! I wonder how different the show will be. Lenkov had a heavy hand in the overall feel and writing, from what I've gathered.
Ps - Lenkov seems like a jerk.

Re: Season 2 Episode 20: A Leopard on the Prowl (2.20)
It's still over the top, but I'll give it a one eye roll because of the transmission damage.  Yes, not much of a race between the two when both are facing the right way, but a rig can get moving when up to speed and I would actually bet on the rig if the Ferrari was in reverse and the r...

Enjoyed this one! The humor was good and I liked Magnum being a bit salty about Higgins pulling out on him. Higgins using M's buddies when they were competing against each other was a fun touch.

Re: Season 2 Episode 1: Payback is for beginners
The original dubbing, Magnum and Higgins where on formal terms, but left away the „Mr“ Season 2 of the reboot, Magnum and friends are on informal terms, are calling each other only on first names and „you“ which is very strange in my eyes because parts of the magic (Original and Reboot) lays in a k...

Kenji, you make excellent points. That is a thorough and compelling argument.
The reboot is not just any "other" show and it's not the original, so the reboot forum is perfect for allowing healthy separation.

Hi Guys, Decent plot, nice photography, no insipid dialogue(1st time!) and for the first time in the reboot Stephen Hill as TC comes alive. They probably redirected resources previously put into Hawaii 5-0 as Jay and company will be here next year and Hawaii 5-0 won't. There is definitely an upswin...

Re: Change of heart - Magnum Reboot is better than no Magnum
Well my fellow Magnum fans, after revisiting season one I have had a change of heart about the Magnum reboot. I had my own ideas about how it should have been done - as a tie in to the original show where Magnum's daughter Lilly would have taken up the family business after her own stint in the Nav...

Re: Higgins, MI6
It’s almost like it has morphed into the Magnum/Lily reboot; a reimagining of show from Higgins’ point of view. This is just my observation. That's an interesting take, and I can't totally disagree with it. Magnum is still the framing device and I'd say he's still the central character, but clearly...

Re: Season 2 Episode 13: Mondays Are for Murder (2.13)
Hi T.Q . When I saw the episode my reaction was quite different. I thought the writers did a good job of including the goat . They gave fans of the 80’s version a nod without going for campy comedy. They also where able to to reference the chickens that Magnum excepted in season one. Magnum wants t...

Re: Season 2 Episode 14: A Game of Cat and Mouse (2.14)
This episode actually has some things going for it. Jin the pickpocket is back and steals every scene he is in, TC and Rick could take lessons from him on how to make an impression with just a few lines. The opening poker gambit was well done, congrats on stealing a tried and true device from Star ...

Re: Pilot to Ep2 Ratings and Beyond
Been enjoying the second season quite a bit. I think the show's been steadily improving since a mixed bag in the first season. I wonder, did a lot of people compare the H-50 reboot to the original throughout the reboot's run? Was the scrutiny similar to what I have been seeing on this forum for the ...

Does anyone have any info on filming schedules or locations? I'll be in Honolulu the second half of July and would love to see some behind-the-scenes action!

Re: Reviews
My understanding is networks/studios, heck, even other businesses, plant reviews to improve their standing. Social media and rating sites are so important today, it's just one more avenue that needs to be addressed/considered in the campaign. Wouldn't surprise me at all. I don't bother with Twitter...

Re: Season 1 Episode 20: The Day It All Came Together (1.20)
I know, cultivating my fanboy image here. I have really enjoyed this episode. I echo the criticism about Hanna's father, his acting and positioning is rather pathetic in that scene. Machine gun battle - granted but it was in the context and necessary. The old show was all about friendship and camar...
