Re: Laura (7.18)
This was Frank Sinatra's last full character depiction on screen, so it was a big deal. He was probably the "greatest" guest star on Magnum, P.I., although his career had declined by 1987. The episode, I thought, was okay. The part near the end when Doheny, an old man, beats up a much younger man, w...

I'd like to say thanks for the website, this forum, the contributor's to all the episode discussions, all the devoted fans. I'm a long time reader here. Magnum P.I. forever! This is the best fan website I have ever seen! I like how easy it is to go to other posts, and how it updates episode ratings...

Re: Don't Eat the Snow in Hawaii (1) (1.1)
Wonderful beginning to the Magnum, P.I. series, but I don't understand something. How did Philippe get back from Vietnam, and why didn't he try to contact his team when he returned? And so Philippe comes back from Vietnam and turns to a life of crime and it just so happens he gets involved in a crim...

Re: Memories Are Forever (1) (2.5)
Another great two-parter. So great to see these two episodes again after 40 years (gosh, I am getting really old!). It brought back memories of when I lived in Hawaii. It was fun to see St. Andrew's Cathedral, the Falls of Clyde, Chinatown, the YWCA building and the Hawaii State Capital. I used to s...

Re: Little Girl Who (7.7)
One of my favorite episodes of Magnum, P.I. However, I never did understand why Magnum and Michelle didn't stay together now that they found out her old husband was dead and Magnum certainly suspected that Lily was his daughter. If you had a daughter that you didn't know existed, wouldn't you want t...

Re: Death and Taxes (7.6)
Such an amazing episode! The guy that played Milton Collins was great in this role, and very creepy. The episode reminded me of the Clint Eastwood movie "Dirty Harry", where Clint Eastwood hunts a deranged killer. I always enjoy watching old Magnum, P.I. episodes because I remember all the filming l...

Re: Unfinished Business (8.8)
I guess there are several reasons Magnum doesn't kill Quang Ki in this episode. Of course, to do so at that point in time would jeopardize future negotiations of possible MIA POWs and it would have ruined the reunion between Rockwell and his daughter . But mostly, it was to honor the memory of his d...

Re: Unfinished Business (8.8)
In rewatching this episode, does anyone know the signifigance of the face on the lemons that Magnum used for target practice? It seems really bizarre that he'd draw smiley faces on the lemons when he was this intense through all but the opening scene of the episode. Yes! I wondered about that too B...

Re: Unfinished Business (8.8)
What an amazing episode. It was so powerful and emotional. When I saw the car explosion, I couldn't believe it. I couldn't accept that Michell and Lily were killed. In the end, when Magnum chooses not to kill Quang Ki, it was heartbreaking. The only thing I didn't like about this episode was Magnum ...

Re: Rest in Peace Roger E. Mosley
Sorry to hear Roger Mosley has passed. I didn't realize he had such a great career. He starred opposite Muhammad Ali in "The Greatest" and was on so many TV shows like "Sanford and Son", "Kung Fu", "Kojak", Rockford Files", "Roots: The Next Generation" and many more. He was a pioneer in many ways fo...
