Yes, I liked that Magnum was human and it showed his flaws...didn't always get him man, sometimes he got beat up, ...

I was very young when It was on TV. I was born in 80. Although I do remember watching it as a kid. I was infamous for giving the eye brow shrug al-la Magnum during the early 80's. I really got back into it watching occasional re-runs in college and then buying the first season on DVD a few years ag...

a spoof might be the only option...........the series fans are up in arms about no Selleck.........and with the failure of Miami Vice..........and success of Starsky & Hutch.........do the math. all in all..........I wouldn't expect a serious drama/action flick..............I'd lean more towards Be...

I don't think it ever Jumped The Shark....My definition of JTS is when a show goes to obvious lengths and off the path to gain an audience back, or gain a new audience. Many shows would do something like adding a cute (but nauseating) kid to the mix that was a sure kiss of death. Magnum, pi did it ...

The car, the location, the camaraderie of the four main characters, but most of all it was Selleck as Magnum and fact that he was a flawed character, scraping for money, behind on his bills, takes advantage of his friendship to a fault, ate junk food, loved sports, both playing and watching, and wh...

Why, After 20 years do we still like Magnum?
Fitst, I rewatched most of the episodes. I loved the show growing up and now in my late thirties, feel somewhat perplexed. 1. I was amazed at the shoddy plots (yhanks selleck lover), cheesey lines, boring subplots, far fetched scenarios, and bad acting. 2. Some of the better written shows stood the ...

I don't think the death/comma was jumping at all. In the context of true jumping...I didn't get that. I do, however, think Mac returning is very close I liked the character of Jim, but I wished they didn't use the same actor (MacKay) for the roles. It was just too close for comfort and Magnum's inte...

I'm sure Magnum wasn't thinking about the consequences of sneeking into the military compound. He was bent on revenge because he thought Lily had been murdered. He had nothing to lose at that point. Had that been my daughter, I would do the same thing. I was really impressed how Magnum had a change...

I guess what I didn't want to see more of were the totally off-the-wall plots. TC kids get kidnapped, the all to easy scenarios, the goofy diologue, the predicatble fight sequences... I wanted to see more international stuff. With TM's affiliation with Naval Intelligence it would be easy for the wri...

Here's the thing. If they use the original cast, it will be less action based and more story oriented. "Raiders of Lost Ark" was a debacle. Harrison looked too tired. Magnum is not going to score hot girls in Bikini's. An interesting take would have the setting, now, and develop the more Character s...
