Hey N... Just watched this one the other day, so its kind of fresh in my memory... Here's my take... I guess this Lefevre guy was supposed to go to Robin's Nest to tell Magnum that Lyden had kidnapped TC and was waiting for him on the beach. (Now, if someone had showed up at my house saying they ki...

Magnum PI: 5 Best (& 5 Worst) Episodes
BY KACIE LILLEJORD – ON AUG 08, 2019 IN MOVIE NEWS Magnum, P.I. premiered in December 0f 1980, forever establishing a new perspective on the television crime drama genre. Magnum (Tom Selleck) defies the stereotypical stigma associated with returned Vietnam vets at the time by portraying a happy-go-l...

What I relearned by Watching Magnum PI
Interesting opinions by Libby Emmons and notes of a very start change with where society is today.... AUGUST 27, 2019 .....Just as a childhood home once revisited seems smaller, these old shows from the ‘80s seem laden with preconceived notions that just don’t fit who we are culturally anymore. We d...

Awesome, thanks again guys! :) (employer of Oscar, the man who's found by Magnum in the guesthouse) This is one of my favorite scenes of the entire show! It made me laugh so hard, my sides hurt! After nearly being sniped to death on his own couch, Magnum finds this myserious older guy (Oscar) lurki...

Re: Who’s Looking Forward to Season 2 of the Reboot?
I couldn't get through two episodes of season one. Higgins getting satellite access wasn't believable, and they then really lost me at scene jumping onto the helo skid.
That said, I've tuned into the original series again, one episode per night while I do something else.

Re: Mad Buck Gibson (2.9)
May have been mentioned but I don't want to read all the threads. How can Magnum stand in the bathroom while Buck just shoots the 45 and not hold his hears or something. Also, Buck seems to manage to reload constantly.

I've been in Texas my entire life. I've been from El Paso to Orange. From the valley to Lubbock. From Big Bend to the Red River. And I've yet to see any part of Texas that looks like the background in the photo of Carol Ann when she was a cheerleader. However, there IS a Shamrock, Texas and it's cl...

Re: J. "Digger" Doyle (1.17)
FORUM FLASHBACKS We know this makes no sense based on where everything really is, but it really makes no sense, even in the show, because, as based on this sketch, when one enters the property and drives in on the driveway, one would go past the guesthouse before getting to the main house!! That ne...

Re: Did You See the Sunrise? (2) (3.2)
TM was completely justified in killing Ivan. The government knew who Ivan was, so they weren't going to pursue his killer. And TM knew that if he let Ivan go, he would probably attempt to assassinate more people, including President Reagan. So I have no issues with him shooting an unarmed man. The ...

Re: For all the haters of the new show
I am a hater. I hate the new show. I watched all of 1 and a half episodes. I should have stopped when the character jumped out of the car onto the helo skid in the first episode. But at least we know the new Magnum has a vertical leap that exceeds that of everyone in the NBA. That said, they could h...

I thought it was a good book. I found in on Amazon really cheap, and the copy I got was signed. If you do some searching, there are a lot of videos on YouTube with all kinds of backstories. Bellisario has a few out there. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BahdCx8KmFs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VV...

Re: Computer Date (2.14)
I thought this had an interesting plot twist. Something stood out though. Remember the blow up? Rick get pissed at Magnum, Magnum tried to stay out of it, Rick blames Magnum (IDK for what), TC sides with Rick telling Magnum Rick was supposed to be his buddy, Higgins backs Magnum. What exactly does R...

Re: Adelaide (1.14)
I really didn't like this episode. Weird is what I would say. She seemed too young LOL It reminded me of one of those shows with a story line where there is some plain Jane who gets a "makeover" and its night and day. I think there was one such episode on the Brady Bunch.

Re: Quality of episodes over the seasons
A 2010 article, Tight Pants in Paradise excoriates Magnum, P.I.. However, many of the author's criticisms are the very elements Magnum fans love about the show. The writer of this article is an idiot. The writer is one of those intellectual pin head types. According to WIki.... Alan Vanneman is an ...
